These significant battlefield losses for Russian forces are part of Ukraine’s continued resistance against the full scale invasion launched by the Russian dictator in February 2022.
It is noted that the total combat losses of the enemy from 02.24.22 to 06.06.25 are approximately:
- personnel ‒ 993910 (+1160) people eliminated
- tanks ‒ 10889 (+2)

The report detailed that since the beginning of the war on 24 February 2022 until 6 June 2025, the total estimated Russian losses include approximately 993,910 troops killed. On 5 June alone, 1,160 occupiers were eliminated. The daily update also confirmed the destruction of two tanks, five combat armoured vehicles, and forty four artillery systems.
Ukrainian forces further took out three Russian air defence units and 174 enemy drones in just one day. In total, nearly 39,200 Russian operational and tactical drones have now been neutralised. The Ukrainian army also reported destroying 101 vehicles and fuel tankers in a single day, bringing the overall total to over 50,900.
Artillery remains a major focus of Ukraine’s defensive strategy. In May 2025 alone, 1,391 units of enemy artillery systems were successfully destroyed. Ukrainian officials noted that recent battles, particularly near Kherson, saw the deployment of Brave1-developed weaponry, including a powerful ammunition system weighing over 100 kilograms, which completely demolished a Russian stronghold.
The General Staff highlighted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to operate under difficult battlefield conditions, including over 4,500 Russian shelling incidents across multiple active fronts in the past days. Nevertheless, morale remains high among Ukrainian forces as they make use of tactical advances and technological innovation to repel Russian aggression.
