An Israeli-U.S. airstrike which hit a Tehran police base destroyed the building and heavily damaged its surroundings.
Residents said three powerful explosions rocked the neighbourhood on Monday, damaging a restaurant across the street and shattering windows of nearby buildings.
Emergency workers cleared up the debris, and checked for gas leaks from the wreckage of restaurant.
It was not immediately known how many people had died or injured, but Iran’s state TV on Wednesday said the owner of the close by restaurant had been killed in the attack.
The Associated Press filmed the damage as part of an organized Iranian government tour.
