A new Ukrainian-made long-range cruise missile, Flamingo, is being produced at an impressive rate of approximately one per day.
The Associated Press reported on this, whose journalists had the opportunity to visit the production facility.
The company behind this achievement, Fire Point, is responsible for manufacturing these advanced missiles, which boast a remarkable range of 3,000 kilometers.
According to the publication, the manufacturer hopes to increase production to seven units per day by October of this year.

On August 20th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a conversation with journalists, stated that the Ukrainian-made Flamingo cruise missile had already undergone successful testing.
According to him, mass production of the missile is expected to begin in January or February.
“There have been successful tests of this missile. And so far, it is the most successful missile we have – it can fly 3,000 kilometers, which is important. I believe that we cannot talk too much about it until we have the capability to use hundreds of missiles. By December, we will have more of them. And by the end of December or in January-February, mass production should start,” said Zelensky.
The President also noted that in that matter, “we need to look at the funding of this program.”
The new Flamingo missile became known on August 17th, when its photographs were published by Associated Press photojournalist Yefrem Lukatskyi on his Facebook page.
The missile’s warhead weighs 1,150 kilograms, and its flight range exceeds 3,000 kilometers. Additionally, the missile is said to be protected against the impact of Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems.
In a comment to Ukrinform, a company representative added that the missile’s maximum speed was 950 kilometers per hour.
