Britain to Supply Ukraine With 120,000 Drones by Year-End

The United Kingdom will supply Ukraine with 120,000 drones by the end of the year, the largest such delivery announced to date.

This was reported on the UK government’s website.

The package includes long-range strike and reconnaissance drones, logistics support drones, and naval unmanned systems that have already been tested in combat in Ukraine. Deliveries started this month.

Secretary of State for Defence John Healey is expected to confirm at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group that Britain will also provide hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of air defense missiles this year.

The report states that drones have become critical for Ukrainian battlefield operations in recent months and for defending against Russian strikes.

The government said companies including Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics will supply a significant share of the drones. It said the program will support jobs in Britain while strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability.

The drone package is part of a broader British aid program worth £3 billion this year.

It also includes funding under the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine mechanism, a G7 initiative that uses proceeds from frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine’s budget and defense.

Last week, the UK announced that it is interested in integrating Ukrainian defense technologies, particularly counter-drone systems, into its own armed forces and those of NATO allies.

In addition, the country has launched a program to develop technologies to counter fiber-optic-controlled drones.

In late February 2026, Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems began producing drones at a facility in the United Kingdom.
