Russian commanders are using force, shouting, and threats to "improve" the morale and psychological state of their subordinates and send them into suicidal assaults.
This is evidenced by a conversation between a Russian unit commander and a subordinate intercepted by specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The latest interception records signs of an extremely low morale and psychological condition within Russian units. Invading commanders are using force, shouting, and threats to drive their subordinates into suicidal "meat assaults."
“What do you mean there’s ‘plus-plus’ there? What the f** are you doing – have you completely lost your minds?” the commander can be heard yelling. “What the f* do you mean ‘refusal’? Move forward, f*ing go!”, the commander shouts. “Faster, f*, I need to file the f**ing report,” the commander shouts in the intercept, urging troops to advance without delay.
He needs to send the men into the attack as quickly as possible, as he must report "upstairs" on the execution of the order.
As resistance grows, commanders increasingly rely on direct threats and humiliation to force soldiers into action.
“You f*ing refusers… you f*ing monkeys!” the commander yells at his subordinates in the recording. “Now you’ll go together with them and charge in there!”
HUR said the intercept reflects an “extremely low moral and psychological state” within Russian units, where intimidation has replaced leadership. The Russian leader has nothing left but to pressure his subordinates with open threats and insults. The latest audio follows earlier published intercepts pointing to similar patterns of intimidation.
