Drones Attack NS-Oil Refinery in Ulyanovsk Region, Russia; Fire Reported

Strike drones attacked the Russian NS-Oil oil refinery in the village of Novospasskoye, Ulyanovsk region.

The region’s governor confirmed the attack in the area, according to Astra.

Videos and photos of the attack, which took place on the night of October 28–29, have also been published on social media and public forums.

Locals reported hearing between 5 and 8 explosions.

‘An attack by enemy UAVs was repelled in the Novospasskoye district. There are no casualties. Emergency services are working at the site where debris fell. A headquarters has been set up to prevent and mitigate the emergency situation,’ Aleksey Russkikh, said the region’s governor.

Based on the images released, a fire erupted at the facility following the drone strike, clearly visible from afar. One of the videos captures flashes, a towering column of smoke, and the sound of explosions.

The Russian NS-Oil refinery produces gasoline, diesel, and fuel oil, with an annual production capacity of up to 600,000 tons.

In the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have shot down 4 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Ulyanovsk region.
