A moving gesture of gratitude.
A 93-year-old man repaid police officers who helped warm his home as Arctic temperatures grip Poland with an impromptu violin and harmonica concert.
Officers checking on people in Izbica Kujawska, Poland, were alerted to a senior citizen who had just returned from the hospital and was living alone in a house without heating.
The police officers brought firewood and lit a stove to warm his home.
Once the room had warmed up, the elderly man thanked the officers with a short performance on the violin and harmonica, a moment captured on video and shared by the police.
“Every report matters and can help prevent a tragedy,” the officers said following the intervention.
