Finland has pledged $300 million in defense support to Ukraine following a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.
Footage of the meeting was shared on the Ukrainian president’s social media.
The new aid package will strengthen key areas of Ukraine’s defense, with air defense as the top priority.
During the talks, Zelensky also proposed that Finland sign a bilateral agreement in a new format called the Drone Deal, aimed at deepening cooperation in the development and production of unmanned systems.

Ukraine expressed its readiness to share combat expertise and experience in the use of drones on the battlefield. This partnership is aimed at advancing military technologies in countries that have supported Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Finnish Sisu GTP 4×4 armored vehicles have recently been introduced into service with Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.
The appearance of these armored vehicles in Ukraine is unusual, as Finland had not previously publicly reported transferring them as part of its military aid packages. It is possible that the equipment was supplied through third countries, particularly Sweden, which has ordered more than 300 of these vehicles.
