On the night of April 16, a fire that broke out after Ukrainian kamikaze drone strikes on an oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, continued into the afternoon. Footage of the fire was shared on Telegram channels. According to reports, the blaze intensified and spread to nearby storage tanks. During the drone attack, port infrastructure and oil tankers docked at the port were also reportedly damaged. It should be noted that the Tuapse oil refinery, owned by Rosneft, is the only such facility located on Russia’s Black Sea coast.
