What does it take to save lives when resources are limited?
In the new episode of Close-Up, TVP World’s journalist Aleksandra Żaczek looks at the challenges facing emergency services in Kenya, where rapid urban growth and limited resources put lives at risk.
The episode features the report “Kenya,” by Franciszek Pilis, which shows the reality of firefighting in a country struggling with a shortage of trained personnel, frequent fires and building collapses. The story spotlights two firefighters, Michael and Gideon, who view their job not just as a profession, but as a calling.
