This follows Macron’s statement on Friday in which he said Europe needs to re-engage in direct talks with Putin if the latest U.S.-led efforts to broker a Ukraine peace deal flounder.
– Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he is waiting for a report on crucial negotiations held in Miami. Sunday’s talks in Florida marked the latest round of U.S., Russian, and Ukrainian negotiations on a 20-point peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump to end the nearly four-year war.
– Thousands of protestors have again taken to the streets in Serbia, this time over what they’re calling government pressure on state universities. The country’s student-led demonstrations first picked up headlines after the collapse of a railway station roof killed 16 people last year in the city of Novi Sad.
