France will soon provide Ukraine with additional Aster missiles for SAMP/T air defense systems, new Mirage 2000-5F fighter jets, and introduce new training programs.
This was reported by Le Monde with reference to the speech of French President Emmanuel Macron during a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”.
“We will deliver additional Aster missiles, new training programs, and new Mirage aircraft in the coming days. It is essential to continue our efforts to support Ukraine and to increase pressure on Russia,” he said.
The first French Mirage 2000-5F multi-role fighters arrived in Ukraine in early February 2025.
On March 7, these aircraft took part in repelling a Russian combined missile and drone strike for the first time – a Ukrainian Mirage 2000 shot down a Kh-101 cruise missile.

There is no exact information on the number of aircraft to be transferred. According to various estimates, Ukraine is to receive 12 to 20 Mirage 2000-5F fighter jets.
According to Le Monde, France has so far transferred the first three Mirage 2000s to Ukraine. However, one of the aircraft was lost at the end of July 2025 due to a technical malfunction. The pilot successfully ejected and was evacuated by a search-and-rescue team.
