The French military has started testing robot dogs paired with ordinary dogs in exercises.
The four-legged unmanned ground robot Vision 60 from Ghost Robotics was chosen for the exercise.
The Vision 60 robot dog supports a wide range of customizable payloads, which ensures seamless adaptation to different missions.
In the military field, it is capable of detecting explosive devices and conducting radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance.
During the tests, the robust four-legged robot overcame stairs, gratings, narrow passages and uneven terrain.

“On the one hand, there’s a German shepherd dog from the 132nd regiment of canine infantry: trained, loyal and combat-ready. On the other hand, a robot dog. Two different profiles serving the same mission,” the French military share.
Earlier, the People’s Liberation Army of China also conducted assault exercises involving infantry FPV drones and ground combat robot dogs.
