In Portland, UK, a German Sea King Mk41 helicopter has been prepared for transfer to Ukraine. The helicopter no longer bears any identification markings.

Back in 2024, Germany ceased operations of the Sea King helicopters. They had been in service since the 1970s.
That same year, Germany announced that it would transfer Sea King Mk41 helicopters to Ukraine.
The German Sea King Mk41s were built in the UK by Westland Helicopters.

The German Navy ordered 22 Sea King Mk.41 helicopters from Westland Helicopters. All of them were delivered by 1974.
The German Sea Kings were modernized in 1986–1988, gaining the capability to carry Sea Skua anti-ship missiles.
