Ground Drones Help Eliminate Russian Troops in Kostyantynivka

Ukrainian ground drones carrying explosives helped eliminate Russian soldiers who had infiltrated Kostyantynivka.

The 100th Mechanized Brigade reported that an enemy group of eight invaders entered the city.

Radio intercepts indicated the group consisted of former Russian prisoners trained for sabotage.

The group entered an abandoned apartment block, which was to serve as their base.

However, their movements were tracked by reconnaissance drones.

Ukrainian forces were positioned near the building but did not have sufficient manpower to assault it directly. The command, therefore, decided to deploy ground drones carrying explosives to the structure where the group was located.

Three ground drones were used in the operation, each assigned a separate role.

The first was used as a decoy to draw Russian fire.

The second drone, carrying 300 kilograms of explosives, was sent into the rear of the building and drove directly inside.

At the last moment, Russian troops reportedly took cover in an elevator shaft, which was later sealed after the blast.

Immediately after the explosion, Ukrainian forces from a nearby position surrounded the building.

The third drone delivered anti-tank mines to Ukrainian troops, which were dropped on the Russian position.

“They were offered to surrender, but they returned fire, so there was no other option but to eliminate eight invaders,” the brigade said.
