A Polish tourist on holiday in Dubai has been hailed as a real-life hero after rescuing a drowning kitten.
Tourist Ania sprang into action the moment she saw the animal struggling in the water, putting her own safety at risk to save it. Other members of the tour group quickly joined in, improvising a rescue tool with a net to help pull the kitten to safety.
Footage of the rescue has moved thousands online, praising her courage and compassion. The tour operator later rewarded Ania with a €240 travel voucher, saying the happy ending best reflects the kind of people they are proud to host.
