"This was an unthinkable tragedy. It happened in our bar, and I want to say I’m sorry,” said Jessica Moretti, co-owner of the ski resort bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, where a New Year’s Day fire killed 40 people.
Swiss prosecutors have ordered the detention of one of the two owners.
The owners, who are French nationals, are under investigation on suspicion of crimes including homicide by negligence.
Victims’ families have also filed legal complaints regarding the fire at the “Le Constellation” bar in Crans-Montana, in the canton of Valais.
