Sirens are sounding in many regions of the country, and citizens have been urged to immediately take shelter and remain there until further notice.
According to NAYA, Israel is attempting to shoot down the missiles over Syrian territory, but some missiles have already reached the country.
There are also reports of missiles being launched at Bahrain, where a US military base is located.
Earlier, Iran announced preparations for retaliation and promised a ‘devastating response’ to the joint attack by the US and Israel.
US President Donald Trump also officially confirmed the start of an operation in Iran to “protect the American people.”
