Iranian Shahed-type strike drones struck an airport in Azerbaijan.
An eyewitness named Hamid posted a video of the strike on X.
According to him, the drone reached an airport in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
In the published video, the distinctive sound of the MD550 engine can be heard, resembling the buzz of a ‘moped.’
After the strike, a powerful explosion was heard on the airport grounds. Later, it was reported that at least two drones hit Nakhchivan Airport.
The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is an Azerbaijani exclave bordering Iran, Turkey, and Armenia, and it holds a strategically important position in the South Caucasus.

Azerbaijani authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the circulated videos or reports of a strike near the airport.
