Ukrainian Liutyi strike drones attacked a Russian chemical plant in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kirov region.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel published footage from eyewitnesses.

The strike on the facility occurred on the morning of Wednesday, March 4. A fire subsequently broke out on the plant’s grounds, as seen in the video, which shows smoke rising from the site.

Preliminary reports indicate that the target was the Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant – a major enterprise that is part of the structure of Uralchem and specializes in the production of mineral fertilizers, including ammonium nitrate and urea, among other products.

The region’s governor confirmed the drone attack and stated that there were allegedly no casualties as a result of the strikes.

“Emergency services are currently continuing their work at the scene, and the situation is under control…,” Alexander Sokolov wrote.

The official also threatened witnesses with liability for publishing videos or photos from the site struck by Ukrainian drones.

The plant hit today is strategically important for the region and is one of Russia’s main suppliers of mineral fertilizers. Its products are used in both industry and the agricultural sector.

The drone attack took place more than a thousand kilometers from Ukraine’s border. Information about the extent of the damage is currently being clarified.
