A powerful explosion has occurred in a fuel tanker at a gas station in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in Russia’s Tyumen region in Siberia. Two people were injured in the explosion, Telegram channels reported on Thursday. Video footage shared in social media captures the moment of the explosion and strong blaze at the site. The incident took place at a gas station in the village of Solnechny in the Surgut district. At the time, a MAZ fuel tanker was on the premises. The explosion triggered a fire covering an area of 150 square meters. The blast wave threw the injured dozens of meters away; medics are currently providing them with assistance. It should be noted that this was not the first explosion at an oil facility in Khanty-Mansi. Earlier in December last year, an explosion occurred at a Lukoil gas station in the region, injuring one person. The cause of the explosion remains unknown.
