Hostilities in the Middle East have entered their 27th day, despite Donald Trump’s claims that negotiations are underway. Local media reports that intense U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran intensified on Thursday morning, hitting Karaj, Isfahan, and Shiraz.
Iran is negotiating with the U.S., but those in charge of negotiations are “afraid to say it because they figure they’ll be killed by their own people,” Donald Trump said at the National Republican Congressional Committee fundraiser on Wednesday.
The Strait of Hormuz is closed only to our enemies, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview Wednesday. Araghchi pointed out that ships belonging to countries friendly to Iran have successfully passed through the waterway since the start of the war.
