Ukrainian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack against Moscow and its surrounding regions, one of Russia’s most heavily defended areas. Several facilities were hit, including oil infrastructure and areas near Sheremetyevo International Airport, where fires reportedly broke out following the attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later stated that the strikes demonstrated Ukraine’s growing ability to penetrate Russian air defenses at distances exceeding 500 kilometers.
