Poland will purchase new unmanned systems, some of which will be sent to Ukraine.
The Polish Ministry of Defense has signed a new contract for the supply of unmanned systems for its own Armed Forces, according to WB GROUP.
The agreement will be implemented within the framework of an agreement signed on September 5, 2023. According to the document, the first systems are to be delivered to the Polish army by the end of this year.
“Unmanned systems are actively used not only by the Polish military, but also by units of Straż Graniczna, the Polish border service. The technology has already proven its effectiveness in surveillance and operational activities,” the Polish Ministry of Defense said.
In addition, these same systems are exported to several foreign customers, such as Ukraine and Malaysia.

In particular, the Ukrainian defense forces use them for reconnaissance and artillery fire correction.
Polish manufacturers emphasize that the new contracts contribute to the development of the country’s defense industry and the expansion of cooperation with NATO partners.

They also add that the deployment of new complexes will increase the capabilities of surveillance, reconnaissance, and combat support within the Polish Armed Forces.
France reportedly is also increasing its production of missiles and assistance to Ukraine.
