Russian Be-12 Aircraft Used Against Maritime Drones Struck in Crimea

Ukrainian forces in Crimea, near Kachi, struck a Be-12 amphibious anti-submarine aircraft.

The General Staff of Ukraine reported that they are assessing the extent of the damage.

The Russian forces use these aircraft from Crimea to counter Ukrainian unmanned boats in the Black Sea.

For this purpose, the aircraft are equipped with PLAB-250-120 anti-submarine unguided bombs, which are dropped on maritime drones.

Ukrainian forces have previously destroyed such aircraft in Crimea. In February, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck two Be-12 aircraft.

Last September, the Ghosts (Prymary) special forces unit struck two Russian Be-12 amphibious aircraft.

According to estimates, the Russian Navy’s naval aviation has fewer than 20 such aircraft remaining.
