Russians Attacked UN Mission Vehicle in Kherson Twice with FPV Drones

Russians attacked a UN humanitarian mission vehicle in Kherson twice with FPV drones. A video showing the aftermath of the attacks has appeared online.

President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this, citing information about the incident.

The vehicle was carrying the head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, as well as eight other organization staff members.

After the attack, everyone was successfully evacuated; according to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

The President emphasized that the Russian military could not have failed to understand which specific vehicle was the target of the strike.

A published video shows the aftermath of the attack on the humanitarian mission’s vehicle, which sustained damage.

“Kherson and the frontline areas of the region are regularly subjected to attacks by Russian FPV drones, which the occupiers actively use to strike transport, civilian infrastructure, and civilians,” Zelensky emphasized.

In addition, Russian forces have recently been increasingly using FPV drones not only near the front lines but also to terrorize the civilian population in frontline cities.

“Attacks on humanitarian missions and civilian personnel are further evidence of the danger faced by international organizations operating in areas under constant threat of Russian attacks,” the President added.

Since its liberation, Kherson remains one of the most dangerous cities in Ukraine due to constant artillery shelling, airstrikes, and drone attacks by Russian forces.
