NATO could implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine as part of a peace agreement , according to military expert Michael Clarke, quoted by Sky News .
The publication notes that this means that NATO forces will directly engage any Russian aircraft spotted in Ukrainian airspace and, if necessary, shoot them down.
According to the expert, a no-fly zone could become part of Ukraine’s security guarantees within the framework of a peace agreement. "The problem, according to Clark, is that he believes such a peace agreement—and therefore security forces for Ukraine—will be announced soon," the publication writes, without specifying whether this refers to a direct peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia ending the war. The journalists also quote Clark as saying that this could happen "within a month."
Clark himself notes that a no-fly zone could be established "if a ceasefire makes any sense" and if Ukraine’s European allies are able to assemble security forces. The analyst stated:
"Russia will go crazy. Russians will revolt. They will call it an act of war. But Europeans will fly in their friend’s airspace at his request to help him against an external aggressor."

"Interceptor drones have become a vital and inexpensive tool for Ukraine to defend against intensifying Russian attacks in the past year. The publication notes that the Russians are constantly looking for ways to render Ukrainian interceptor drones ineffective. To this end, the occupiers modify their UAVs to fly faster and higher, install rear-view cameras to promptly respond to the appearance of an interceptor, and so on. These changes have forced the Ukrainian defense industry to adapt. Citing Western military officials and Ukrainian organizations, Business Insider reports that interceptor drones shot down thousands of Russian drones last year. NATO, meanwhile, notes the success of interceptor technology as a low-cost air defense system.
Alex Roslin, international support coordinator at Dikі Shershni, told the publication that drone modernization occurs daily at all levels of the production process – from upgrading individual components to implementing new systems.
According to Oleksiy, deputy commander of the mobile air defense unit of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces, there is intense competition among Ukrainian drone manufacturers, which motivates them to constantly improve their products to better counter Russian threats.
Alexey’s unit, responsible for protecting the skies above Irpin, previously relied on M2 Browning heavy machine guns mounted on pickup trucks. However, last year, the team began training with interceptor drones, which can fly at speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour and reach altitudes of up to 6,000 meters.
According to the soldier, the interceptor his crew operates is updated every six months based on feedback from the soldiers themselves.
