We analyze a new report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies revealing the staggering human and economic cost Russia is paying for minimal territorial gains. Seth G. Jones, president of CSIS’s Defense and Security Department, joins us to discuss the report’s findings, including casualty figures and battlefield gains, and their implications for Russia’s military future. We also discuss Ukraine’s challenges, Western military support, and Russia’s long-term vulnerabilities. In the second part of the show, we turn to diplomacy and peace efforts with Marina Miron, a researcher in the Defense Studies Department at King’s College London.
