Satellite images of the aftermath of Ukrainian overnight air raid on Russia’s military facilities in Rostov region has been shared in social media. The images show the struck A-60 and A-100 aircraft as well as S-400 missile system in Taganrog city in the region. Ukrainian troops’s overnight attack destroyed two aircraft at the Aircraft Repair Plant TANTK named after G.M. Beriev on the night leading to November 25. A unique Russian A-60 1A2 aircraft armed with a laser designed to destroy aircraft and satellites was destroyed during the strike. Another aircraft targeted by Ukrainian troops is A-100 long-range airborne early-warning and control aircraft. The plant also sustained significant damage, including in its final assembly workshop during the Ukrainian air raids. In addition to the aircraft and the workshop, a position of a Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system was also targeted. However, it is diffciult to identify the consequences of the attack from the satellite imagery. Rostov region’s Governor Yury Slyusar acknowledged the strike on Taganrog city last night but made no reference to the Aircraft plant being targeted. According to him, the attacks in the area damaged residential buildings, a warehouse, and an external gas pipeline. He added that three people were killed and eight others were injured. Meanwhile, in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar region, Russian authorities and media reported another large-scale drone attack. The regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev stated that the region had faced “one of the longest and most intense attacks” since the start of the full-scale war. He reported that more than 20 houses were damaged during the overnight assault. Ukrainain troops have stepped up missile and drone strikes on Russia’s strategic military and energy facilities in Ukraine’s captured terrirotires, as well as deep in Russia.
