To inflict colossal losses on the Russian invaders, production of Ukrainian ballistic missiles must be significantly scaled up, said Anatoly Khrapchinsky, deputy general director of a company producing electronic warfare equipment and a former Air Force officer. The expert believes that discussions about Ukraine’s ballistic capabilities should be done with caution. "In fact, it’s better for us to see the results of hits without knowing what they were. Because, recently, we’ve been talking about the enemy actively seeking out our production facilities, trying to hit them in order to reduce our potential," Khrapchinsky noted on Radio NV. He recalled that the Sapsan is a ballistic missile. "This is difficult for the Russians to shoot down. Therefore, the direction of development of our ballistic capabilities is very important. Because this will significantly impact Russia’s ability to repel such attacks. And, relatively speaking, such weapons are capable of causing colossal losses," Khrapchinsky added. At the same time, he notes the great importance of scaling up Ukrainian production capabilities. "Of course, it’s good that we’re producing, but we need to scale it up to at least 50% of the capacity needed to deliver serious blows to the enemy," Khrapchinsky said. It is believed that severe strikes on Moscow and other major Russian cities with ballistic missiles could have a serious impact on the resolution of the conflict. According to media reports, serial production of the Sapsan operational-tactical missile system began this year . Systematic use has also already begun. Previously, the official designation of the new Ukrainian operational-tactical missile system was not disclosed, but thanks to this report, the full official name has been revealed: 1KR1 Sapsan. According to military analyst and aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap, if Ukrainian ballistics are successfully developed, it will be possible to destroy 80% of Russia’s military-industrial complex .
