As the US-Israeli war on Iran entered the fifth day, airstrikes on the country have continued. The capital Tehran came under fire, with multiple explosions heard across the city. Video footage released in social media shows smoke plumes rising over the city skyline in the aftermath of the attacks. Tehran has been struck repeatedly by air attacks carried out as part of a major offensive that began on 28 February. This campaign has involved dozens to hundreds of airstrikes on Tehran itself and other parts of the country. Explosions have been heard across the city, including central neighborhoods and government areas, and Iranian officials have reported significant damage to infrastructure and buildings as well as to residential districts. The strikes have targeted Iranian military facilities, air defense systems, command and control sites, and high-level government targets such as the presidential office and the Supreme National Security Council building in Tehran.
