In Poznań, officers from Poland’s Internal Security Agency detained a territorial defense soldier on suspicion of spying for Russia.
Polish Gazeta Wyborcza reported on this.
The suspect is Jarosław K., a soldier with the 12th Greater Poland Territorial Defense Brigade.
According to journalists, the suspect was detained on March 30, 2026.
Nine days prior, he allegedly participated in a rally of the pro-Russian and anti-Western movement Rodacy Kamraci in Warsaw.

The allegations of espionage relate to the period from July 2023 to April 2024.
The man joined the territorial defense on March 8, 2024.
In its preliminary ruling, the court assessed the evidence gathered and found it indicated a high probability that a crime was committed.
This involves a willingness to act in the interests of foreign intelligence.
The investigation is also considering the possibility that information was collected and stored for subsequent transmission to the detriment of the Republic of Poland.
Polish intelligence agencies are currently continuing their investigation of the case.

It was recently reported that a man will stand trial in Poland for gathering information about an explosives factory for the Russian Federation.
