U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will host talks on Wednesday with the foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland, amid concerns over Donald Trump’s interest in controlling the Arctic island. Greenland has called for stronger international support, with a senior minister travelling to the U.K. this week and urging lawmakers to stand firm against U.S. pressure.
After the Prime Minister of Greenland told reporters that the Island is sticking with the Kingdom of Denmark, when asked for comment, U.S. President Donald Trump said he doesn’t know who the prime minister of Greenland is. But had a warning for him.
Despite an internet blackout, grim images from Iran are revealing the scale of the government crackdown, with rows of body bags and rights groups claiming that the death toll now exceeds at least 2,000, as anti-regime protests intensify. President Donald Trump has warned the U.S. will take “very strong action” if Iran executes protesters.
