Trump’s Security Team Receives Armored Golf Cart

The U.S. Secret Service, which protects the American president, has developed a special armored golf cart to accompany Donald Trump during golf games.

The War Zone published the footage and details of the armored vehicle development.

On Saturday, July 26, while playing golf in Scotland, the American president was accompanied by a reinforced security team, which was traveling, among other things, in an armored version of the Polaris Ranger X.

The vehicle, which the American press ironically dubbed “Golf Force One” by analogy to the presidential plane, turned out to be part of the “presidential fleet of specialized vehicles.” The White House spokesman told reporters about this.

The Polaris press service confirmed that the vehicle in the photo was manufactured by them, but donated by another company.

The War Zone suggests that Scaletta Armoring, a Chicago-based company that offers armored vehicle retrofits for off-road vehicles, could have been responsible for the deep suspension modification and installation of the armored cab. The Polaris Ranger X that they have upgraded almost completely repeats the appearance of the armored vehicle spotted in Scotland.

According to the Government Services Administration (GSA), the cost of upgrading the unit is almost $190,000.

The Polaris Ranger X is used by the military, law enforcement agencies, and many other US services for off-road travel. The basic version costs about $20,000.

It is worth noting that during the game, Trump was driving an ordinary golf cart without any protective elements. The armored car was probably brought in in case of a need to quickly evacuate the “first person” from under fire.

Given that golf courses are wide open spaces, having a special vehicle to cover the president, which could easily move across the lawn, seems not only logical but also necessary.

Trump has already been the subject of two assassination attempts, including one on his golf course in Florida. The most recent attempt took place on September 15, 2024, at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Earlier, the United States began modernizing the Boeing 747-8 airliner donated by Qatar, which will temporarily be used as the presidential aircraft Air Force One, and has already caused a political scandal due to the allocation of funds from the “nuclear program” budget.
