Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of targeted strikes against Russian military infrastructure located both within occupied Ukrainian territories and across the Russian border, according to multiple official statements released by Ukraine’s General Staff.
One of the strikes hit a repair facility used by Russian military engineering units near Rozivka in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region. This site reportedly supported an engineering and sapper regiment of the Russian armed forces. In Donetsk region, Ukrainian units struck several assets near the city of Myrnohrad, including a drone command center, a company-level command observation post, and a concentration of Russian troops. The General Staff noted these actions were part of broader efforts to reduce Russia’s offensive capabilities.
Additional strikes were conducted recently, targeting a drone control post in the vicinity of Nekislytsia, located in Russia’s Kursk region. Ukrainian forces also reported a separate strike on a concentration of Russian military personnel near the town of Troebortnoye in Bryansk region.
According to the Ukrainian military, these operations are ongoing, and assessments of Russian losses and the scale of damage are still being verified. In addition, Ukrainian defenders targeted several important logistical facilities of the enemy operating in the temporarily occupied territory.
“The location of the enemy’s maintenance unit of a special forces brigade near Tokmak, the material and technical supply warehouses of the artillery brigade near Okhrimivka, and the facilities of the 76th Air Assault Division in the Kyrylivka area were hit,” the General Staff stated. Earlier this month, a Ukrainian drone unit successfully targeted and destroyed a Russian Osa located deep behind Russian lines.
The strike was carried out by a single drone, operating far from the front lines, and eliminated the Osa system, which is designed to protect Russian troops and critical infrastructure from air attacks.
According to the unit, the destroyed air defense system was valued at over $10 million, while the drone used to carry out the strike cost a fraction of that amount.
Ukraine’s commander of Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, has outlined a strategy aimed at pulling Ukrainian personnel farther from direct frontline combat while dramatically expanding long-range strike operations. “We must destroy the enemy on a multiple scale. And to do that—this is primarily a task for commanders—we must focus on preserving our personnel, creating conditions for their fastest possible distancing from the battlefield, and conducting strike operations remotely.” He stressed that Ukraine cannot rely on a large influx of new volunteers in the coming year and must instead compensate through technology and distance warfare.
“We should have no illusions when it comes to mobilization in 2026. Those who wanted to fight are already fighting—or have been killed. Those who did not fight for four years—counting on them to voluntarily join our ranks, of course we will work on it, but on this issue, forgive me, I would not get my hopes up,” Brovdi said.
