Ukraine will receive 100 VAMTAC armored tactical vehicles and a batch of 155mm artillery rounds from Spain, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reports.
Spain’s Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced this during a visit to Kyiv after a meeting with Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
Deliveries are set to begin in May to strengthen units of the State Border Guard Service.
Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said the sides also agreed on further cooperation to scale up Ukrainian drone production. A separate focus will be the development of air defense capabilities and the modernization of previously retired equipment.

Officials from both countries also discussed Spain’s participation in a joint European project to develop a ballistic missile defense system.
The Spain’s government will also transfer five PAC-2 interceptor missiles to Ukraine for Ukrainian Patriot air defense systems.
