Ukrainian army’s FP-2 drones have destroyed a command post of the Russian 58th Army in Kadiivka city in Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk region. As a result of the attack, nine Russian officers were killed, and five others were injured in the command post. Video footage released in social media captures precision strikes on Russian military targets. The strikes are followed by massive explosions. It should be noted that Ukraine has increasingly relied on drones, particularly first-person-view models, as a critical part of its war strategy against Russia. Once limited to reconnaissance missions, drones are now widely used for offensive operations, enabling Ukrainian forces to strike targets precisely while reducing risks to personnel. Ukraine’s defense ministry has stated that long-range drones now routinely hit strategic targets deep inside Russia, including refineries and logistics hubs, reshaping the dynamics of the conflict. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy last summer said his government approved the plant o boost domestic arms production, which also includes manufacturing of drones. Over the past months, Ukraine has rapidly expanded its domestic drone production to meet the demands of the ongoing war with Russia, turning unmanned aerial vehicles into one of the central pillars of its defense strategy.
