Ukraine has set a new world record on August 14, 2025, when a sniper from the Pryvid unit struck two Russian soldiers from a distance of 4,000 meters in Donetsk. The confirmed kill surpassed the previous record of 3,800 meters set in December 2023. The Alligator rifle, in service since 2021, delivered the strike through the window of an occupied building.
