Ukrainian army scandal: Soldiers left starving on frontline | Ukraine Brief

President Zelenskyy visited Saudi Arabia on Friday, meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss defense cooperation. This comes nearly a month after Zelenskyy secured a 10-year defense deal with Saudi Arabia, as part of which Kyiv will export its drone technology and expertise to Riyadh.

193 Ukrainian prisoners of war have returned to their homeland today in a swap with Russia. Ukraine reports that many of its soldiers are being unlawfully detained in Chechnya.

Outrage is spreading in Ukraine after photographs were shared on social media showing emaciated Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline. Ukraine has struggled to maintain key logistics routes to several frontline areas, leaving many soldiers with limited access to basic nutrition and drinking water. The soldiers in the video are believed to be fighting on the eastern bank of the Oskil River in the Kupiansk sector, where bridges have been destroyed, and roads are frequently targeted.
