Ukrainian troops have carried out strikes on the Russian 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar system, positions where drone operators were gathered, and a storage facility holding logistical and technical supplies of the Russian army, the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Friday. Defence forces hit the 55Zh6U Nebo-U radar station in occupied Yevpatoria city in Crimea Peninsula. The Nebo-U system is a long-range surveillance radar designed to detect aerodynamic and ballistic targets, including aircraft and certain types of missiles. In another operation, Russian troops’ concentrations were targeted near Solodkovodne and Liubymivka in the occupied parts of southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. UAV operator positions were also struck in the areas of Tokmak and Mykhailivka cities in Zaporizhzhia. In the occupied part of eastern Donetsk region, near Selydove, a warehouse containing material and technical resources belonging to the Russian army was targeted. Additionally, in the Komyshuvakha area of Donetsk region, a concentration of Russian military equipment was targeted. The General Staff stressed that the extent of the damage and the Russian losses were still being evaluated. According to the General Staff, 800 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded in combat action over the past day. Friday’s attacks on Russian military assets follow air strikes on an ammunition depot, a Russian army’s data center in Zaporizhzhia region. Heavy fighting continues along the front in the Zaporizhzhia region, with both Ukrainian and Russian forces actively engaged. Ukrainian troops have reported tactical advances in the southern part of the region, establishing control over several villages near the frontline and increasing operational activity around Huliaipole and Ternuvate. These gains reflect ongoing efforts by Ukrainian forces to disrupt and slow Russian pressure. Ukrainian commanders have clarified that certain frontline communities, such as Zaliznychne, remain under their control despite repeated Russian airstrikes and attempts to seize territory, and defence units continue to repel attacks with aviation, guided bombs and drones. It should be noted that the total combat losses of Russian army have reached about 1,250,950 personnel since the start of the full-fledged invasion in February 2022.
