Ukrainian Droid TW 7.62 UGV Helps Repel Russian Assault

The Droid TW-7.62 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), operated by a member of the Disney Squad unit, helped fight off a Russian assault by engaging several enemy infantrymen.

The manufacturer, DevDroid, discussed the operation with Militarnyi.

During the mission, the UGV detected and destroyed two ambush drones that had been waiting for Ukrainian troops. It then opened fire on enemy personnel and continued engaging Russian positions during the battle.

Under fire from the system, the enemy began to retreat, enabling the unit to fully repel the assault.

According to DevDroid CEO Yurii Poritskyi, the combat use of the company’s unmanned ground vehicles confirms that robotic solutions are becoming an effective tool for protecting personnel.

“Unmanned ground systems are already taking on the most dangerous tasks on the front line. Each such mission represents a real reduction in risks for personnel and strengthens the combat capabilities of units,” he emphasized.

Droid TW-7.62 is a reconnaissance and strike unmanned ground robotic system adapted to use the KT-7.62 (PKT) machine gun.

The system is equipped with a ballistic computer, which ensures high accuracy and effective target engagement. It also features elements of artificial intelligence for autonomous target detection, acquisition, and tracking.
