The United States has suspended the supply of some weapons to Ukraine and cut off one of the direct communication channels with German generals coordinating assistance to Kyiv.
Bundeswehr Lieutenant General Christian Freuding stated this in an interview with The Atlantic.
Freuding currently serves as the German Army commander.
He previously headed a special working group at the German Defense Ministry responsible for coordinating military support for Ukraine.
According to the General, the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump did not warn German partners before halting deliveries of certain types of weapons to Ukraine.
He said that until recently, he could exchange text messages with Pentagon representatives around the clock, but that channel has now been suspended.

Freuding noted that he now has to contact the German Embassy in Washington to obtain information, where, according to him, one staff member is “trying to find at least someone in the Pentagon.”
