A person was killed and five others were injured in Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia overnight on Saturday, officials said. According to Associated Press in footage shared by the Russian Telegram channel Astra, explosions were seen in a district of Tolyatti where two major chemical factories are located. Other videos circulating on social media showed explosions in the city. An employee of one of the industrial enterprises in Tolyatti sustained a shrapnel wound, Samara region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said in a post on social media. The governor said that multiple drones attacked the city. The roof of an apartment building was also hit in Tolyatti, according to the governor. Meanwhile, Rostov region Governor Yuri Slyusar said that a resident of Taganrog died and four others, including a foreign national, were injured in an attack. A commercial vessel was damaged and a fire broke out after it was struck by drone debris in the waters of Taganrog Bay in the Sea of Azov, he said. Russia’s Defense Ministry said Saturday that its air defenses downed 85 Ukrainian drones overnight above several Russian regions, annexed Crimea and the Black Sea.
