European leaders at a forum in Munich called for more decisive steps against Moscow – from lifting restrictions on long-range strikes to increasing economic pressure. Thus, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized that "you can’t win a war with your hands tied" and called for Ukraine to be supplied with weapons for strikes deep into Russia, The Guardian reports.
"We need to give them weapons so they can strike at Russia ," the head of the Danish government said, noting that this issue has been discussed for years. According to Frederiksen, if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin were truly interested in peace, he would not have attacked Ukraine’s energy facilities in the middle of winter. "It’s simply insane that only the Russians could do this, but that’s Russia, and it won’t change ," the prime minister said, commenting on the attacks on the Ukrainian energy grid in -25 degree weather. Finnish President Alexander Stubb, in turn, emphasized that Russia is not winning the war and pointed to existing problems within the Russian Federation. Stubb proposed two main courses of action: increasing economic pressure on the Russian Federation and continuing military aid to Ukraine supplying weapons, providing the army with all necessary means, including long-range missiles. According to him, such a strategy should lead to Ukraine being able to win the war. Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius noted that in the Ukraine negotiations, "the ball is in Putin’s court." The defense minister pointed out that it is the Kremlin that is holding back progress toward peace. According to the minister, Berlin will continue to seek ways to ensure a lasting peace, because Ukraine’s future is fundamental not only to European security, but also to global security.

Recall, previously US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called on the White House to transfer Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine so that the Ukrainian army could strike drone production facilities in Russia. The politician noted that Russia seeks to establish complete control over Ukraine, and therefore the American side should strengthen the Ukrainian army to deter Russian aggression. According to Graham, Tomahawk missiles would make it possible to strike key infrastructure used by Russia to produce drones and support military operations. The senator emphasized that such a move could change the balance of power. "I want to change the balance of power ," he said. The transfer of these missiles has been under discussion in the United States for several months. In the fall of 2025, according to American media reports, the Pentagon approved the possibility of such deliveries, but the final decision remains with the occupant of the White House. Sources indicated that the administration views the potential transfer of long-range missiles as a tool to pressure Russia as part of its negotiating and sanctions strategy. Graham has previously called for the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. Specifically, he made this statement in early February following one of the largest Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. At the time, the senator appealed to the American leader to initiate the process of transferring the missiles to Ukraine, declaring the need to change the rules of the military game.
