"According to the treaties, European Union law, and loyalty rule, he should be released by Hungarian authorities to Polish authorities," MEP Michał Wawrykiewicz said about Zbigniew Ziobro, who has been granted political asylum in Hungary.
While Ziobro claims that he is being persecuted politically and unlawfully by the Polish government, Wawrykiewicz says that "he has the rights and guarantees for a fair trial in Polish courts."
He adds that the biggest problem here is Viktor Orbán and that only Orbán’s electoral defeat might result in the return of the Polish politicians granted asylum in Hungary.
