Kremlin propaganda has openly spoken about the difficulties of the Russian Armed Forces in the Sumy direction. Even the most loyal mouthpieces of Moscow are now forced to look for excuses for new failures. The truth, which is inconvenient for Russians, was unexpectedly aired on the propaganda channel “Soloviev LIVE”.
Z-blogger Alexander Arutyunov, known under the pseudonym Razvedos and part of the pro-Kremlin media pool, sadly stated that everything is bad with the offensive in Sumy region.
"News from the field is that we have either slowed down our advance very seriously, or it has been stopped by the enemy," the propagandist said. He also noted that the Russian side does not have a clear understanding of its own tasks in this section of the front. " To objectively assess this news, we must be aware of our goals in the Sumy region! But we are not aware! All we know is the "buffer zone", – said Arutyunov. In fact, he admitted that even within the Russian propaganda machine there is no clarity as to why this operation was launched at all. At the same time, he acknowledged that the Ukrainian side is sending in reinforcements and is successfully defending itself. " There is information about a certain exhaustion in the ranks of our units. Yes, our advance has really slowed down… Perhaps the enemy has found weak spots and our command has decided that it is time to stop ," he added. Despite all attempts to smooth over reality, the facts speak for themselves. Russian troops managed to advance only 3-12 kilometers in depth, which by military standards is an extremely modest result, especially considering the large-scale losses of personnel and equipment. Numerous independent analysts agree: the attempt to break through in the Sumy direction weakens the Russian army, forcing it to stretch its forces and open vulnerable areas in other directions. Such a "spread of the front" does not bring strategic advantages, but only creates an additional burden on the resources and logistics of the occupiers. Of course, Arutyunov does not directly criticize the Kremlin strategy, but his cautious formulations and admission of a lack of understanding of the operation’s goals speak for themselves. Even dedicated propagandists today can no longer hide the obvious: the offensive in Sumy Oblast has failed, and the Russian army is once again bogged down in Ukrainian defense.
