NATO DEFENSE CHIEFS MEET IN BRUSSELS
A meeting of the NATO Military Committee is underway in Brussels, with Defense Chiefs of all member countries in attendance. Polish Chief of the General Staff General Wiesław Kukuła is scheduled to meet the U.S. and NATO commander in Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich, from whom he will likely seek clarification regarding U.S. troops rotation plans for Poland.
FT REPORT: XI WARNS TRUMP, PUTIN COULD REGRET WAR
Xi Jinping reportedly told U.S. President Donald Trump that Russian President Vladimir Putin might end up regretting his invasion of Ukraine during the two leaders’ meeting in Beijing, the Financial Times reported late on Monday.
BELARUS HOLDS NUCLEAR DRILLS
Belarus is conducting nuclear drills involving Russian ballistic missiles, in what analysts describe as hallmark posturing by dictator Alexander Lukashenko. But just in case, Ukraine is warning Belarus not to try to join Russia’s war.
