1 dead, 3 hurt in 3-vehicle crash in Lorain County

HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — A woman is dead and three people are hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash in Lorain County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of State Route 113 and Gore Orphanage Road in Henrietta Township.

Troopers say 28-year-old Moriah Smith, of Roselle, Ill., was driving northbound on Gore Orphanage Road when she attempted to turn left onto State Route 113.

The car was struck by an eastbound 2022 Freightliner.

A westbound Cadillac then struck the Freightliner head-on.

The impact caused the Freightliner to veer off the left side of the road, where it hit a tree and landed in a ditch.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no word on their condition.
