(FOX40.COM) — Detectives from the Los Banos Police Department arrested a 16-year-old girl on Tuesday afternoon in a Stanislaus County homicide that took place on June 21.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, the victim, who died at the house party, was identified as Emily Lopez, 20, of Keyes.
SCSO stated that the deputies responded to reports of a large fight at a house in the 5400 block of Jennie Avenue around 10:42 p.m. in the community of Keyes. While deputies responded to the scene, they received updated information that someone had been stabbed.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they encountered several individuals on the street and located two female stabbing victims, SCSO said. One of the victims remained unresponsive on the ground, while the other victim was alert and conscious.
Deputies started medical care on both victims until EMS personnel arrived on the scene after a few minutes, SCSO stated. Despite life-saving measures that were performed, the unresponsive victim died at the scene.
The other victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and other victims were found with injuries ranging from being punched and kicked to being hit in the head with objects.
Deputies later found the location of the house party and detained many people who were inside the home, SCSO said. Detectives interviewed people who were released.
The 16-year-old girl has been charged with homicide and assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into Stanissluas County Juvenile Hall, SCSO said. Other persons of interest are being sought in the stabbing investigation.
At this time, the investigation is still ongoing for other assaults that took place in the house, SCSO stated. Details will not be released on what led to the incident due to crews interviewing witnesses.
