PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman and a man were arrested Wednesday after men in a U-Haul van tried to shoot another woman to death, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.
According to an arrest affidavit, 19-year-old Nyriah Ingram and 21-year-old Troy Campbell argued with a woman and later tried to run her car off the road on June 18.
Ingram told the victim, “I’ll get the 7’s to come show you what time it is,” the report said.
About 30 minutes later, police said Ingram drove her car to the victim’s home and was followed by a U-Haul van.
Ingram rolled down her window and told the victim, “Now you know what time it is,” while at least two men exited the U-Haul van and started shooting at the woman and another person who was in the front yard of their home, the arrest affidavit said.
Police said Campbell was not a shooter, but rode in the U-Haul van to the victim’s home and opened the sliding door on the van to allow the other two men to begin shooting.
According to the arrest affidavit, Campbell knew the victim and had previously lived with her family for about two years.
Investigators said the victim and several witnesses identified Ingram through a social media post.
Ingram and Campbell were both charged with attempted first-degree murder, police said.
